I know you already have everything, but FYI...not all PI heads have "PI" in the casting. My PI Romeo heads only say 1L2E xxxxxxxx

Long story short when we got the heads checked they were bad. So we swapped them out for Windsar PI heads and they say PI on them that they just got in. We have P&P the intake and ported the heads. Now we just need to find the best cams and swap everything out.

That blows...what was the deal? Adding a blower / turbo? If not, my guess would be Comp 102500's or a custom grind. I'd run their springs either way.

No I am just doing the PI head swap on the 97. I need something to tow our tractor and my cobra. So we trying to get as much TQ as possible. Comp has a set of cams that say strong low end TQ, but have not made final decision.

i went with Comp Cams #102600, comp cams said they were the biggest cam we could use without performance internals. There is another one simular i think #102400, but i would go with 102600 but keep in mind they are ($550) and you need Comp Cams Behive valve springs #249-26113-16($220), ARP head studs are recommended ($220) Head gaskets ($75) And you might as well get timing chains with tensioners ($120) And it wont be worth it unless you get the heads ported, which 3 angle bench ported by someone whos familiar with ford modular will run you $6-800. Otherwise your waisting your time as ive read and heard. And im in the process right now. Just need to get the heads taken care of and put it back together. Lets hope we arent waisting our time and money for the gains achieved! But good luck and hope to see someone else do this too!
