yeah progress!
old tired 4.6 is out! but not without a quirk... the TQ Converter came with it, i guess that was the path of least resistance?! what a squeeze! looks like i get to clean like a freak, paint to make it purdy and make a play date with family or friends.
as for the ECT's i think i have a layout that will place them very close to eachother and at 90 deg offset. guess its time to order some pods, boost guage, a real temp guage and oil pressure guage. u guys think it would be a good idea to do tranny temp? im not a tranny guy so i dont know where to place that one.

PICS

wasnt planning on doing a stall, income says not right now anyways. i may have it rebuilt by a local guy for about $150 and he does it within a day. almost sounds too good to be true.

yeah jmc, half of it went into a bucket anyways. when i did my shift kit i didnt get what was in the converter then, so this is a good thing. i can make sure i have almost all good fluid this time.

i think im gonna need 38"s to keep from lighting em up all the time lol

Put some GOOD sh^t in that trans . I can't believe how good that Amsoil works in the trans. I use it in the T- case and power steering as well. haven't had a trans issue since. Remember how bad mine was slipping? That fluid is still bright pink in the tranny and even in the Power steering reservoir . That stuffs expensive , but it's one of the best - if not the best I've ever used .

If you decide to flush it, let me know before you do . It's easy to test your pump during the procedure.

Look at this Klitch - Sort of what ONELOWF posted earlier and what JMC mentioned as well. This is just how someone built up the crossover to tap - For something else , but it may help.

wow brew, you may have just added another day or so to my timeline. i didnt know that there was a hot spot back there. never thought of the fact there was no rear crossover. either way, im gonna try drill and tapping the front cross over for the ect, turns out troyer cant eliminate those sensors since the imp4 computer relies on it unlike the lightnings. L's rely on CHT.

thanks onelowf, i'll be browsin for a while there lol

2 more shots. this ones my idea for my ECT and sender, it appears to clear everything and be out of the way enough for future replacements/disconnections whatever. does anyone see a potential problem with this layout? they appear to be far apart enough they should clear eachother.

this is the work i had done to cover up the rear water passage on the p/s. anyone ever see this before?

JMC: 5.4 knock sensor is 3 wire, one is ground according to your old write up? can the ground be left alone?
