hello everybody new to the site,I have a problem maybe somebody can help i'm no mechanic but know a little. My mom has a 99 F-150 4x4 with a 5.4 that started skipping, she had a mechanic tell her it had a blowed intake gasket he said it had water on the #4 cylinder,well I put a gasket on for her ,still skipping on #4 according to a OBD2 so I traded the #4 coil,plug boot with #1 still skipping oh yea I changed them one at a time and checked any I went back and changed the plug with #1 , now the hand held is saying I have a misfire on #2 and I haven't messed with #2 . I have also checked the fire on the injectors with a test light every thing is good I'm lost any help would be appreciated. Also it doesn't do it all the time some time driving it will run fine and sometime runs like it missing on 4.

 

Have someone re-write this for you -or proof it a little better, then re-post. - No offense, It's difficult to understand, I tried.

However -I have figured out that "skipping" means missing (misfiring) correct?
