Spark Plug change 2001 Screw

Hi All. My F150 has 72k miles on it with the original plugs and cops on it. I have read so many horrible posts about broken plugs, etc, etc that I actually
went to my local ford dealership and met with the director of the service department and the lead mechanic. I told them all of my concerns and told them I plan on leaving the truck there all day with the idea that the plugs were to be changed when the engine was warm, presoaked with kroil, backed out 1/4 turn and resoaked to ensure an easier removal and install. They looked at me like I was a little crazy but agreed to do it my way. The dealership wanted around $65.00 for the plugs. They agreed to allow me to provide my own plugs (factory motorcraft) purchased from autogiant ( $26 )
and they will only charge me $100.00 labor. this sounds very reasonable considering what I see what everyone is paying. I had the service manager write the quote down on his business card and sign it. What do you guys think???

115K on my stock plugs and coils. You do not need Kroil on the 01. That is for the new 3V engines that are prone to plug breakage due to sticking. Our 01 models have the opposite problem, plugs that remove themselves.

they really aren't that bad, once you get the drivers sids knocked out you'll be fine

other wise $100 doesn't sound too bad

For $100.00, I would have someone else scrape their knuckles up instead.
