F150 issue needs help

I’ve got a 2006 f150 5.4 3 valve and one day as I’m going down the highway it tried to down shift and when it did it lost all power and was in like a limo mode it idled horribly touchy like it was missing really bad well I eventually got it home tore it apart and it was a broken guide so I did a full timing job besides the phasers and it runs the exact same but I don’t have any codes besides o2 sensors which are gone cause of my exhaust I assume it’s the passenger side phaser but there’s no noise and it only runs rough after the engine temp gets to the middle or close to it but while it’s cold it acts like nothing is wrong I’m 1000$ in the hole at the moment so I’d like to replace that phaser amd see what it does but I need some concrete proof that’s what it is

A "full timing job" should include phasers, chains, guides, tensioners, VCT solenoids, and a Melling high volume oil pump.

The purpose of the phaser is to advance and retard the cam timing based on engine rpm and load. If it isn't working properly, I don't know of any reason why the engine should make noise unless it can cause preignition. But, I ain't no mechanic, just a shadetree.

Everything I’ve read so far says that the most common thing to look for when they go bad is that they make a medal clanking noise I just wanna be sure that’s what it is I’ve changed everything but the phasers and oil pump

Change them both. Low oil pressure will cause this issue. Except for the oil pump you should use Motorcraft parts. It's possible debris from the guides is in the oil pickup screen, clean out the pan if you can.

I think that when the valve train noise starts, that usually means the oil pressure is low at idle speed.

I'm weak on 3Vs, but adding this up, phasers affected by oil pressure. "Known" weak oil pump. Works when cold - (THICK OIL = HIGHER PRESSURE.) MY conclusion says, chg the oil pump. Melling is always suggested .While there, phasors have not yet been changed. Aside from guides, I dunno if phasors can be damaged, like guides, but since suggested by Senior guys, it IS a thought!
Earlier years of 3V seemed to have this problem, more.
Good luck.
