i think part of my problem may be my bosch o2's then, they flag rich intermittently, and the thread you showed me makes me question them more.

so how easy is SCT Adv. 3 to use?

btw, whats the "fuel open loop TP"? could that be what your looking for?
Advantage 3 is easy, just have to not be affraid of it and know how to do calculations and whatnot. And open loop to is what I need, thanks

Sorry, it's load to go OL based on ECT --4th from the bottom on your screen shot. Switch form all 1.1 (?) to 0.0, and switch it back when you done.

Here are 2 screen shots. this is in neutral, after at idle for several minutes, at 2200rpm. as you can see, the surging was bad at first, and the longer i held it at 2200, the smoother it got.

I Forced open loop and no more surging. Idle sounds wicked now, can actually hear the cams. Im going to tune the a/f and make it run open loop all the time

did what stick? Im just leaving it open loop. I just spent several hours tuning with my wideband, a/f is almost dead on everywhere from idle to redline, part throttle and WOT. Runs sooo much stronger than before. Idle is great, sounds stronger, all in all, open loop FTW!

I drove around for a few days in OL and mine ran good. Do you have the adaptive switch turned off? The switch should be the 1st scalar under adaptive, set to 0=off, 1=on. I drove with it off in open loop and the cold start was OK, which surprised me.
