header

just got my hooker header will it effect anything on the truck it 302 v8 5.0

It should give you about 10% more HP, if you have the rest of the exhaust. If they're long tubes you may have issues with the O2 sensors????

IMO don''t expect any measurable amount of power increase.
Reasons:
Truck cams are very short in duration and fall down after about 4000 rpm.
Headers usually show improvements in the upper rpm ranges where your motor will be falling down from the cam.
You usually can't feel gains of less than 10 hp in the seat of the pants dyno.
Good luck and give a report on what you feel are the true results.

did you get long tubes or shorties?
