Squeak from engine

When i floor it in 1st gear it revs fine then when it shifts to second, there is a pronounced squeak/squeal from the front of the truck almost sounds like a belt. It happens right before the shift into 2nd as the nose of the truck drops. any ideas

It probably is the serpentine belt.

I've had the same thing with my last two 5.4 . Don't notice it on my 4.6.
Much worse pulling a large boat.

change your belt, it's a cheap thing to try and won't hurt to do anyway if you've got a few k on it

Lot of people have this problem, my truck did it stock and it got worse with a tune. I put a Goodyear Gatorback belt on, no more squeek. I think I got the belt a Checker. Good luck!
