I did a search, I promise!

But, I cant find any for my specific question... I have 98 4.6 with blown head gaskets, and found a good deal on an 03 4.6. I found the thread about putting an 04 4.6 in a 97-98 truck, is the 03 the same as the 04? COP's or Coil packs? Electronic throttle? Any help would be appreciated.

 

i know fer sure its not electronic throttle, as far as the cops issue, you can reuse your coil pack setup.

 

Cool, thanks, I plan on reusing the existing ignition... dont want to bite off too much of a project.

 

really it should just be a drop in deal... couple minor things i assume yes but nothing too complicated.
