Ok so the rings are fried and i bent a valve and its time for a rebuild,,, they guy my granpa and daddy use wants to charge me 3200 to rebuild the motor i feel like i am gettin screwed what do yall think? If I didnt work 60 hrs a week i whould do it myself,, Oh its a 97 f150

 

How far we talking on the rebuild??? What motor?

 

IMO - I would find a good 5.4 to put in it.. But if you want to keep it a 4.6 you can find them at these links as well..

3200 isn't a good deal - it's prolly fair if the guys good..Lots of variables. You can find a motor and have someone install it cheaper..Just a thought..
