what kind of cylynder head is best

i drive a 97 f150 with the 5.4 and i need to replace the heads i blew a plug on the number 2 cylynder and im just gone replace both heads which heads would be best. I figured factory heads whould eventualy do the same thind so i really did not want to go back with them

if you want more power get some patriot heads or livernois motorsport heads and some comp or crane cams, if you dont need any more power, get some stockers off ebay or from a friend. if you get some patriots or others, you will have to get new intake to match or get adapters

Nah , they won't blow if you re- torque evry 10,000 miles - I have 206,000 on my stockers.

To run the best heads , you need the best manifold -

get some stage II heads and an aluminum intake manifold off the 01 and newer 5.4's

HI!... No one makes a after market cylinder head for the modulars. But you can get different stage factory heads that after market companies modify.

Why not just install time serts in all 8 plug holes. That's what most the after market companies due when you buy their heads.
