I took my egr tube off, plugged the header, and then you put a block off plate on the manifold, then plug the vacuum lines.

you don't really need it but it will be better in the long run to just fix the problem.
What was the code? maybe just a bad gas cap leak.

With no CEL bulb in you wont know if anything serious is wrong, like a misfire.

I removed all of the emission stuff on the stang but also had it turned off in the PCM.

Cut all 4 off and install 2 high flows, it will burn cleaner and sound much better! My truck runs exactly the same as it did with the egr.

EGR helps cool the combustion chamber, reducing NOX, increasing fuel mileage, reducing the chances of preignition (allowing for more timing advance).

All good, no bad.

Remove it if you want, or spend a little time learning how the system works and how to fix it.

im sure every engine acts different, but i didnt loose fuel mileage or get preignition. I dont see how it cools the combustion chamber, my inlet air is a lot cooler than the exhaust.

Cool

HI!... If you remove the EGR you can tune around it. IMO it's a useless piece of equippment. It only function at part throttle cruising speeds anyway. Doesn't work at idle and not at WOT.
