I am going to take my truck to a mechanic because I know that its very dificult to change the spark plugs in a 5.4 Triton 2001 F-150..

my question is.. do you think I should change the SPARK PLUG BOOTS?

If your not opposed to an extra $50 for boots then have them changed.
Your after long term service and reliability. Changing the boots helps this out.
Otherwise if the boots are still soft, not buldges at the plug tip ends ,not torn or otherwise damaged, reuse them.
