Vacum Leaks

I'm posting this for those who may need it.
First experience was with a 98 v-6 truck. Rough idle and engine light was on. Computer stated bad O2 sensors. Replaced with no fix. Found two bad vacum elbow's. Replaced those, engine ran fine and the engine light went away.
Second was with a 98 5.4 Expedition. Same issue however showed to be a bad idle air controller. Took apart throttle body, never got the IAC off the throttle body, cleaned and put back togther. Did not fix problem. Finally found a bad vacum elbow. Bought new egr tube with elbow, spent 5 minutes taking the old one off, installed the new one and back to normal. Two days later, engine light went away.

What I have learned from this is that in the event something is not right, check those vacum ports FIRST!. With over 130,000 on the clock, it would have saved me $$ and time.
