Low RPM=weak power

Low RPM=weak power
So in the past month or so, my truck has gotten a lot of work to it. Especially since it hit 100k. At 90k miles I changed the plugs/wires/fuel filter. After it hit 100k, I pulled the TB and completely cleaned it(the egr ports were litterally packed with carbon), I also changed the bad o2 sensor that kept tripping my SES light. And I cleaned the MAF. Ive noticed in the past few weeks that when Im in the low range rpm's up to 2500, my truck accelerates like...well it doesn't actually lol. From a dead stop if I floor it, it will take off kinda quick then between 2500 and 3k it takes off like a rocket, then after about 3300 it gets out the powerband and shifts then it happens all over again. Whats the deal fellas? I know it's definitely not a misfire I know what those feel like. My air filter gets changed every oil change. Could the fuel filter have gone bad in 10k miles? THanks in advance

Did you get any type of warranty with the new tranny and if so I would have it checked out. If the tranny is ok I would be looking at the CAT, but that would or should be showing a code. You said you changed a bad 02, was it a front or a rear of the CAT? Do you remember what the code for the 02 was?

Unless the cat is clogged, gutting it won't do much anyway. Modern cats flow pretty well.
I assume that since you changed the wires, you have a 4.6. Have you checked that all the plug wires are on? Did you replace the cap? Usually, a lack of low-end grunt means a sparkplug wire is grounding to the block instead of through the plug.

I wanna gut my cats but theyre pretty strict around here w/the emissions testing and stuff. Prolly a stupid question but you gutted all 4 right?
