my 2000 f-150 , 5.4, 66000 mi-- starts, then shuts down, will run if acc is partially pressed ... could this be a bad egr valve?

 

clean out iac valve search for it on here

 

Tap on your IAC with something, like the handle end of a screwdriver, broom handle, hammer(tap lightly) - then start the motor. Your IAC is stuck.

Like I said you can tap on it to temporarily break it free from it's stuck position..

 

thanks for the ideas..... picked up a new iac valve and replaced it today---all is well
