hi i have a 2005 f150 are the engine 4 valve engines or 3 valve engines

You don't have a 4 valve and you might have a 3 valve. Look at the stickers under the hood that give you the engine specs.

4.2 two valve 4.6 two valve... 5.4 3 valve

4 valve would be a dohc like in the lincoln continentals of the 90s. not the best for a a truck motor.
