F-150 4.6L and the Sport trac 4.6L
I'm not sure where to post this so sorry if this is the wrong place.
I was searching the ford web site looking for the payload rating on my father-inlaws sport trac when I came across the horsepower rating on the 07 4.6L for the sport trac, (292 hp @ 5750 rpm & 300 lb.-ft. @ 3950 rpm ) compared to (248hp@4,750 & 294 lb.-ft.@4000) for the F-150, does that seem a little off to anyone else or am I missing something.

Nope, right on with that. The f-150 will tow more as rated and just ability due to setup. The 4.6 from the Sport trac is kind of a car v-8 whereas the f-150 has a more truck engine design, lower rpm's making torque. They ought to kick the 4.6 hp's past 300 for the f-150 and the 5.4's to the 350-375 range as the competitors have.
