04 Belt tensioner- adjusting to loosen

Is there a proper way to loosen the tensioner to remove the belt? I am replacing my alternator and it's been a while since I messed with a tensioner. My alldata account don't go into detail but it looks like a 1/2" socket hole on the belt side. Is that correct?

That's it. Just put a 1/2" breaker bar in it and turn, I think, clockwise. I'm probably wrong though. You'll have to put some muscle into it.
