what is this wire go to..

i did the 4.6 to 5.4 swap... i used my 98's 4.6 harness

and this is a 2000 5.4 PI

the motor runs ight... still need my tune but besides that shes ok

so were is that plug into

i have no clue what that even looks like. lol what did it go to on ur 4.6? do u remember?

 

the wire that is pluged into something next to it is the oil presser sencer...

you know that sencer were you oil filter go's...

thats were that is... but i dont know what the wire next to it plugs into...

 

on my 98 4.6 i have a wire thats not connected to anything dangling near the oil relocation tubes.

 

thats weard...

 

lol i gotta ask, where would i be looking on my truck? i have my 02 5.4 in the garage, and i have my truck with the 4.6 still in it out in the snow.

maybe i can tell you what it use to go to, if anything. that may help some

 

I'm working on swapping engines now and have been wondering the same thing dont remember unhooking it going to look at old 4.6 tomorrow if I find anything will let you know.

I know that there is a plug under there in that area that isn't used. I'm sure it goes to something that is an option that most of us never got.

Though I don't recall mine having a red insert. I'll take a look next time I get under the truck.

could it be for a pressure sensor for the p/s?

 

do are trucks have that ??? my pump is new and its whineing a little... i dident see something i could plug it into...... if its something it would be that i bet...

 

That's a EVO connector - Electronic Variable Orifice ..(Steering Crap).... I seen em on the 97's 2 .
