F150 Pressure Guage Dropping Around Corners??

My wife just called me to tell me our 2001 SCrew is experiencing an issue where the oil pressure guage is dropping around sharp corners and the oil light coming on momentarily.
No problem on straightaways or normal cornering.
She said the truck is running normally.
We aren't very far off of our scheduled oil change.
I thought I would post here to see if it may just be a sensor of if someone thinks it is more serious.
We are going on a trip tomorrow and have the truck booked in for service.
Thanks

Tell your wife to get off the autocross track and check the dipstick. Sounds like you are pretty low on oil.

That was my first thought but I won't know until tonight.
She took exception to the "autocross" comment
Must be driving like she is in my M3.

It's most likely a bad Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Have it replaced at you next oil change, or better yet, do it yourself and save some $$. The part costs about $10 at the dealer and takes about 10 mins to remove and reinstall. It's located right next to your oil filter.
