I found a link to the infamous recal for our cruise controll units on another post so I called the local ford dealership to check and low and behold it was never done on my 99 f150. they said come on over and it took all of 5 minutes in and out pretty happy with that. quick and easy and the guys in the service dept were nice too. OMG I had a positive experience with a service department! heres the link to the recal info if anyone doesnt have it.

You had some luck!
I had to stop in and badger my dealer 4 months later even after recieving the card in the mail.
To boot, later on they closed the facility and never still to this day notified me of any change in dealer service location.
My son was driving by one day and saw the whole facilty empty and told me about it.
Later heard they closed up on a Monday morning with cars still on the lifts and let everybody go.
When their CPA sayez close up now, that what they did.
They no longer get my biz since they have proven to be poor overall at the main location.
Some how justice prevails.

 

I had the cruise recall on my '99 done yesterday. (110,000 miles and never burned to the ground). It took 10 minutes total with 8 minutes for the guy to fill out the paperwork.

 

just had the cruise recall done on my 97. took all of 10 minutes. they even topped off my washer fluid.now thats what i call service.
