resetting computer?
what fuse can i pull to reset the computer? ive pulled fuse 20 (GEM, PCM, audio, somethin else) in the box that is in the cab. it did not clear the codes like it does when you unplug the battery. i think i fixed the problem that was throwing a code and id like to reset the computer.

Not sure on your model - but under the dash it should only be a 5amp fuse.
That little book that came with truck in the glove box decribes it better. The layout.
The one in the PDB under the hood is a 20amp on mine.

No - actually there linked to each other - GEM isn't the correct fuse as far as I know. I have an 01 book , but not here with me. That books your friend. 5/16 0r 8mm will work on the battery. Unhook the NEG -touch it to the POS, reconnect right away is quickest KAM reset ,if under the hood.
Need that book..You can download the book as-well.

Wrong box. F2 in the PDB powers the PCM Power relay's NO contacts.
The correct answer is F2 in the CJB (underdash fuse panel) for a 2002 F-series and Expedition. It is a 5A fuse that powers only PCM pin 55 (PCM KAM). Just pull the fuse and go take a break for awhile.

F2 in the PDB has no connection to the PCM's KAM pin. Consult your schematic carefully.
2 in the CJB feeds the PCM power relay as described. Pulling it has the exact same effect on KAM as does pulling the PCM Power Relay....none.
