Exclamation I have 1989 COMPLETE 5.0 laying around, how hard to put in 2000 f150???

i have a COMPLETE 89 5.0 from a mustang laying around. i have a 2000 reg cab short bed with the 4.2 and a 5 speed. was wondering how hard it would be to swap the V6 for the 8. i know it would be better with the 5.4 easier, more power, blah blah blah. this 5.0 motor is just laying on my garage floor. i have the ecm and all that crap too. will the bell housing fit, i hear yes and no? motor mounts need to be cut and moved or will the stock ones work? any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about bolting up, pretty sure it wont, nor to the motor mounts. It really wouldnt be worth it, none of the electrical system would work, none of the gauges would work...

You will need everything, including transmission, custom driveshaft, wiring harness, old computer if any, etc, etc, etc.

Better check emmission laws in your area, may have to meet the 2000 standards.

its all going to be custom, if you want to do it, just start doing it. I would much rather have a v6 than the 5.0 though due to the fact that so many things will have to be rigged up...

The 5.4 can make a lot more torque than the 4.6 ever can...
