5W30 w/ 5W20 Amsoil??

will it matter if i mix 5W30 Amsoil w/ 5W20 Amsoil? the store only had 4 qts of 5W30 and i got the last 2 qts i need at another store that only has 5W20. i'm guessing it'll make something like 5W25... lol jus wanted to check on here and make sure it won't hurt the engine. thnx.

LOL - Nah, It won't hurt , I wouldn't mix manufactures like Castrol & Penzoil.

Both are Amsoil, that won't hurt it a bit..

Nahhhh It wont hurt. It will still be a 30 weight (9.3-12.49 cSt @ 100*C). It will just give you 9.8-9.9 cSt @ 100*C instead of 10.5 (XLF) or 10.6(ASL). It will be just slightly thicker than Castrol Syntec 5W-30 (9.7).

If you got both XL7500 then you will have a 100% Group III Basestock.

If you got ASL + XLM then you have 67% Group IV / 33% Group III Basestock.

The Additive Package is compatable but if you normally use ASL the XLM will reduce the drain interval. The XL7500 products have reduced additive levels since they are only intended for 7500 mi or manufactures max service interval.
