F150 5.4 Running 'off'

F150 5.4 Running 'off'
Hey
I have a 2 month old F150 5.4v8 (King Ranch - love it) except...
From new it has sounded rough when revving over 3.5k to 4k RPM, kind of a 'throbbing' noise in the background - with a duty cycle of around 1/2 a second to a second.
Also when I rev it in neutral, sometimes there is a popping (sounds like a misfire) on the overrun.
The idle is sometimes rough also.
I've had it with the dealer and they updated the ECU with the latest 'build' and they ran a load of tests that showed nothing.
Did I get a bad example or is this normal, perhaps needs some more 'running in'.
I did read that some injectors stuck open happens on this model. I'm somewhat knowledgable in things engine and car and I can imagine all of the above could be caused by an injector problem.
Anyone have any ideas, I don't want to be causing any damage, and I want to maybe have an idea to give to the Dealership.
