Any number of things. Have you done ANY diagnosis? Buy a Haynes manual (PN 36058 w/light blue cover), a cheap digital multimeter, & a fuel pressure gauge.

You need to put a fuel pressure tester on the valve on the fuel rail (on motor) to make sure fuel pressure is correct. Plugged fuel filter or bad fuel pump are common.

Pre-'96 (EEC-IV) don't need any scantool - a paperclip works fine for pulling codes. Get a FP gauge at Sears for ~$20. You don't mount it permanently - it's just a diagnostic gauge. Run it out the back of the hood & tuck it under a wiper so you can see it while driving.

For a temp fix, you can use Bars stop leak. But eventually it will fail again.

Some people say its not good for the engine, but I used it in my old Chrysler and it didnt cause any trouble.
