new process to reduce friction in engine parts

Found this article on line while checking the local news. Be interesting to see how it worked on truck parts to improve efficiency and mpgs

yea, thats pretty cool. wonder if they will use it for factory equipment.

unlikely.. all manufacturors know they can make more money selling parts for their vehicles than they can selling the vehicle

another slick 50?

My question would be: Is this another Slick 50? Slick 50 has been proven to be worthless.

From what I understand it has to be done to new parts. You cannot send in used parts. A local speed hero will be having this done to some of his transmission parts. I will be shown the finished product so I will let you know what it looks like.

HI!... The process is done with wulnut shells. Kind of like sandblasting/shot peening. Does not change the size of the parts at all.
