2005, 5.4L. HELP-A LOT of White tailpipe smoke.
2005 5.4 with 44k (out of warranty)...
Bought this truck 2 weeks ago
Got back from 1400-mile trip to Dallas, and started it up the next morning and there was an engine shutter, and loss of power.
Then white smoke came out the tail pipe, and engine light came on.
Truck wont idle, and white smoke pours from the tail pipe
?? Does it sound like an emmissions part failed or possiblly a forgin compound in the gas tank ?? I have a crazy, jelous ex-girlfriend who would do that.
Any ideas ?

More like anti freeze.
Trans fluid will do this but there is low likelyhood fluid can get into the engine on these motors like the old engines with modulator for shift control.
Smell the exhaust and see if there is excessive moisture.
Coolant dosn't burn to well in the cylinders or the cats.
