What's are the engine bay differences between the 04 and up 5.4L Triton 3 Valve and the 04 4.6L?

Are there any high performance heads and cams for the 04+ 5.4L V8?

Will the 4.6L trans bolt up to the 5.4L block?

 

1. What do you mean by engine bay differences? Some things bolt up in different spots, but they're basically the same under the hood.

2. Supposedly, someone's making aftermarket cams for the 3V now. Search in the '04-'06 forum.

3. The bolt pattern is the same on 'em all.

And if you're planning on doing what I think you're planning on doing, just buy a truck with the 5.4 3V in it already.

 

Well I like my 04 F150 as it is. I just want something a little more drag track worthy.

Plus, it'll be fun doing the first motor swap in our generation.
