Knock sensor question

I am replacing a 1997 4.6 Windsor engine with a 2002 Romeo engine.
(97 F150 XLT)
The new engine has two knock sensors vs the single sensor on the old engine.
I would like to use the new style sensor and was wondering if I could just splice in the old connector to make it work?
If so should I use only one of them or tie both together into the old connector?
TIA for any advice.
BTW the old one is larger and tapped into the middle of the block and cant be transferred easily.
