bad fuel pump?

bad fuel pump?
Im having fuel issues on my 99 f150.
I installed a new pump from ford. With the guage hooked up, and priming the pump it goes to 5psi then next time stays at 5, then do it again it might shoot to 20 then maybe 25, then prime again and it will go to 30. so i start it, and i can watch the fuel pressure go down. then it stalls. So i prime a few times again to build pressure. This time it runs for 10 minutes with 35psi. Then falls off and dies. now i cant get anything. even if jump the fuel pump relay still nothing. Is it possible to get a bad pump from ford? What else can i try?
