inertia switch

inertia switch

my fuel pump wont kick on all the time. someone suggested the inertia switch does anyone know where that is?

If we are on the same page, the switch is located on the passengers side kick pannel. Pop off the pannel and there is a little red button which should be a winner.

For a 97 and up but, on a 88 its on the firewall to the left on the brake pedal.

When it acts up check the voltage at the pump. i believe on a 88 the pump is mounted to the frame on the inside on the left side. also check for corrosion on it. the relay may also be going bad.
