Hard starting when cold 1992 F150 302

I helped a good friend of mine buy his first truck and we got him a 1992 F150 XLT with a 302 and automatic transmission.

The truck runs fine, but is very hard to start when cold. After it has warmed up it will start normal. We checked the fuel pressure and it seems to be ok. We are not getting ANY data from the computer.

Thoughts?

John

NO data whatsoever from the computer?

That is odd, if you plug in the harness you should get codes-- even if it is just a "pass" code.

BTW, how cold are we talking about here? Your profile doesn't list a location, so 'cold' could mean anything from -20 degrees to 50 degrees and this makes a big difference when talking about starting issues.....

Yeah, nothing from the computer at all. Not cold as in weather, just cold as in the truck hasn't been started in a while.
