MIL lights up after 20 minutes.

Hi,

After driving about 20 minutes the MIL light comes on and stays on.
When starting up the next time, the light is on.

Disconnectiong the battery cleares the code, but it comes on after 20 minutes of driving.

I went to a shop and they retrived the code (didn´t tell me with one) and said it was a problem with the EVAP. "You probably just have a leak in a hose somewhere".

Where should i start to look for leaks?
Is the best way to disconnect one hose at the time and pressure test them?

/Martin

You should really get the code for an idea where to start. If it is an evap code, it could be as simple as a bad gas cap.

You can go to Autozone and they will lend you the OBD reader...no charge! They used to pull em for you, but now they won't. Gas cap will cause that to happen as 01screw stated.
