Was the oil on the external surface of the plug or was it dripping from the electrode? Perhaps you spilled excess oil recently while servicing and the oil streamed back while driving the truck?

Oil fouled? Or just wet? Have you been burning oil? Adding oil between changes? Smokes when running? Compression check with another cylinder?

Help us - help you!

Have you found the source of the oil yet? Were you able to do the compression check of the cylinder(s)? Regardless, I hope you have solved your problem and that it was something easy and inexpensive.

oil in the spark plug

I had the same problem when I changed my plugs. Hasn't caused any problems, just messy when you pull out the old one and insert the new one. Isn't on every plug either. I always thought it was probably the valve cover gasket. I had a Chevy Beretta with a V6 that was the same way. Who ever thought of the idea of putting those darn plugs down so deep anyways.
