1999 F150 5.4 lower radiator hose?

Got a new gates 22297 lower radiator hose - which was the correct one according to advanceautoparts.com, but it's got two extra hoses coming out of it. From what I can see my stock hose has only 3 connections - one large one to the radiator, one smaller hose for the overflow/degas bottle, and the other large end for the block/waterpump/whatever. The new hose has two additional smaller hoses about 2 feet in length coming out of the center 'manifold' section of the hose.

Am I missing something or can somebody give me a website/part# for the correct gates replacement hose?
Napa shows the same hose as correct but it doesn't match mine.

1999 f150 5.4 2wd not lightning or bi-fuel.

This link shows a picture of the new hose. Looks like the original one except for the two additional long hoses.

Thanks.

Those two extra hoses are for the engine oil cooler. Sounds like you do not have one. Get a new hose from the dealer or get one for a 4.6 and trim it if necessary or plug those two little hoses.

I really don't want to buy one from the dealer ($80-100). I've got a hookup that can get gates hoses for me at cost, but we can't figure out what hose to get. Why would all the online parts stores and my friends catalog show the hose with two additional hoses for the oil cooler as the correct hose for my truck?

Is my truck missing something? Was the oil cooler standard or an option? ( My truck is the lariat model so it has pretty much everything I think ).

Mystery hose

OK - I found what looks like the hose on my truck by checking the hose listed for a 99 expedition 5.4 w/o oil cooler.

http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/nc...4&prmenbr=5806

How can my truck have a hose that isn't even listed for it? Did I end up with some weird configuration that nobody else has? Am I missing an oil cooler? Getting really confused...

The individuals who are responsible for the Hoses at NAPA are mistaken. There are two options available. One with the oil cooler and one without. Do a search for a 97. There are two versions available; PN NBH8929, without the cooler hoses, and 8930. Get the 8929. No big deal.

My truck's a 1999. I'm just using napa for the pictures - I don't have or want a napa hose, but napa is not the only site showing me the wrong hose ( advance, napa, gates catalog, etc all list only one lower radiator hose for 1999 f150 5.4 2wd - and it has the two extra hoses ).

I'm just trying to figure out if my truck is different than every other truck out there.

I'll Probably just take the hose I have with the two extra hoses to the dealership Monday and try to figure out what's going on.

Thanks for your help.

the parts stores do have problems with all the parts that we have in the world...I have had this problem in the past...its no biggie...sometimes you have to use past years for the right part...i have done it...all that matters is that its the right fit...
