Question winter oil(dino) and cold starts

Guy's.....what are you conventional oil users using during the cold months of the year? Just the F150 drivers with the Triton engines in the Northeast or Canada please, thanks

Does Minnesota count?

I used Valvoline Durablend in the past - techinically a blend, but really an all dino conventional oil. No issues starting down to -30 F. CCS (Cold Crank Simulator) numbersis currently 5700.

The best of the dino oils lately in cold crank seems to be Pennzoil - the 5w30 CCS is 5800 based on information from technical staff. Best I've seen out of a dino 5w30.

Mobil 1 for the cold months. Makes a huge difference in starting up.

Chevron Supreme 5w30, Petro Canada, or Conoco HydroClear 5w30 would be my choices if I had to use a conventional oil. (say if it leaked 1 quart in 500 or something)

Like said below, Mobil 1 year round would be my best answer.

10W30 summer 5W30 winter. Cheapest name brand available at time of purchase.
I stay away from grocery store brands. Don't buy bread at Service station......
Change it every 5000km, 3100miles.

Regards

Jean Marc Chartier

PS forgot to mention I will use a synthetic, same viscosity if I am going off road during an oil change interval.

Valvoline Durablend 5W-30 all year around. Winters here can get down to -10, summers up to 90 never had a problem and change at 3,000...
