chillybone,

P1405 - DPF EGR Sensor Upstream Hose Off or Plugged.
While driving, the EGR monitor commands the EGR valve closed and checks the differential pressure across the EGR orifice. The test fails when the signal from the DPF EGR sensor indicates EGR flow is in the negative direction.

Look for signs of water or icing in hose. Verify hose connection and routing (no excessive dips) Verify DPF EGR sensor proper mounting and function.

I had this sensor replaced about a month ago.
I was just on sporttruckworld.com in their Ford forum and they were talking about getting a letter from Ford in regard to this sensor.
The letter stated that the tube mounted EGR Pressure Sensor (part #9J460) would be covered under some sort of extended warranty,an additional 2 years 24,000 miles.
They quote a no-charge extension warranty program number 02M01.
Don't know your mileage but if it falls within the parameters maybe you can get a new one for free!!
I e mailed Ford customer service to see if this applied to Canadian trucks or not but have not gotten a reply.
Check ot the original post on sporttruck.com
