Thumbs down Trickflow/edelbrock Modular Hi/po Heads

HI!... There have been a lot of rumors floating around the net that EDELBROCK and TRICKFLOW are coming out with new high performance modular cylinder heads for the 4.6/5.4 TRITON engines. Well I was curious because I don't want to spend $$ to get a set of "P.I" heads fully ported/polished if one of these company's was planning on coming out with better, high flowing heads. So I e-mailed them both and this is their e-mail responses :

Subject: MODULAR HEADS?

HI!....

There have been some rumors going around on the net that EDELBROCK is
currently designing high performance after market cylinder heads for the
4.6/5.4 modular engines. I was just curious if this rumor is true?

Sorry, at this time it is not true.

If it is
when will these heads be ready for sale to the public? I'm currently
building a 5.4L drag race engine for my "99" F-150, and would like to
purchase a pair of your heads before I spend a ton of money to get a race
port/polish job done on my stock "P.I" heads. Any info you can provide on
this subject would be greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU

NEAL "THE H.P FREAK" NEWMAN

Can't say that I blame them, who would want too given costs for R&D, Ford just finally releasing specs on the 4.6 Mustang GT and the minimal gains to the consumer. Why even bother if you where them?
