'99 F150 S-cab, 4.6 166,589. Trans rebuilt @ 110,000 ( my fault. fluid changed maybe three times........) Runs fine, work truck and works everyday in L.A. traffic.
I have joined the 100,000 mile club a couple of times, and heading for the third. 91 f150 XLT lariat 4x4, 278,000 miles and counting!!This truck has been a rareone indeed. A few problems as can be expected. I had to replace the clutch at 250,000. The only major work ever done on it. When I bought new tires at 230,000 the dealer threw in an alignment, it's first. When they put it on the rack and checked it out they said it was within specs and could not make it any better. At 270,000 miles I towed a compact John Deere 1300 miles. This truck has been used in all different situations, hunting, 4x4ing, land clearing, vacations and any other daily use you can think of.
Just hit 100,000 on my 97 f-150 5.4. Just did the spark plugs for the first time. Wife has a 2000 explorer with 105,000. My pride and joy 65 mustang (Mom bought new) 200 ci 6 cylinder now sports 300,000 miles with only rings and rod bearings (no mains) being replaced at 250,000 or so. It runs great.
My 97 F150 with the 4.6L sports 151,506 as of 3-20-03. I have replaced balljoints ( tops not needed but done anyway), steering shaft (not really needed), battery, both front hub bearings (only needed the one), and a DPFE sensor. Everything else is minor tune-up stuff or just stuff I wanted done. 2 sets of wires (first replacement set were crappy) and 2 sets of plugs (first set went shot because of wires) and two coil packs.
Still runs like new, looks like new expect for two dings. Won my first car show with it last summer and it had over 130,000 then. I beat out brand new trucks, still blows my mind.
Welcome b1er. You find these trucks have alot of small issues, but are really great trucks. If you have any prolems, there's a good chance somebody here already had that problem and knows how to fix it.
I'm at 109,000 miles right now on my 1998 Expedition 5.4 4x4 w/4 corner load leveling suspension. Other than one or two very, very, very small problems and a replaced air suspension pump there has been no problems with my Expy. It's been used hard by my family for 4 1/2 years before I bought it off them. We have used it for towing trailers, boats, light off roading, hauling lots of people and loads around town and on the highway. I'm going to drive this thing until it dies, not to mention I can't stand the thought of buying a independent rear suspension on a large SUV.
My '97 5.4l Expy just hit 100k mi. Runs like new. Just did the spark plugs. Change all fluids myself with Amsoil. Had to replace the windshield twice now. Oh, and the alternator died @ ~65k miles... took the battery with it!
Also, just traded in my '89 Mustang 5.0l with 149k miles. It had just started steaming out what appeared to be a broken off head bolt! Other than that, it ran great! Never had to change an alternator, water pump, nuttin!
Reading all these posts makes me feel good about my truck. I thought it was getting near worn out at 135,000+ miles but it appears to be just a babe in diapers compared to the mileages that have been posted here.
Keep it coming since there are new joiners daily.

My dads 95 F150 has 136k on it and still going strong . Only thing is has needed was new brake pads. It was his first F150, and wont be his last, with a 97-98 coming sometime this summer
I hit 128K in Feburary of 2002. Since then, the truck sat while I rebuilt the motor. Just drove her around for a bit. Felt good. Time for another 130k!!!
Edit: I failed to mention that the passenger side cylinder head spit a spark plug. That's the reason I decided to just rebuild the whole motor. Why have a fresh top end, with an old bottom end.
