Lucky you!!! I have a 1999 f250LD and at 100,000 I had to pit a new tranny in, due to third being burnt out. That was not all, I also had to put in new head gaskets. The smell of burning oil all the time and a real headache. these both burned me at about $6000!!!! Other than that, I had the plugs changed too and a tune up. The truck runs 100% now, (knock on wood!)
I am so far happy with it after the major repairs.
Near 166 000 km's, about 105 000 miles for my brothers in the USA. Only issue with engine was IAC, now replaced, perfect again. I think I have the nutorious head gasket leak at the #5 cylinder in the valley area. Tranny has been mint, front pump seal (warranty) was the only prob and rear had pinion seal leak.
On the bad side, I'm on the 3rd rad, engine still makes that stupid whistle around 1700 rpm, door rust on drivers door bottom, odometer fading, now I have a clunking in the rear somewhere, drivers side tie rods bit the dust, both lower ball joints, e brake finally works proper.
Really that's it, overall ready for another 100 000. Still looks brand new. Normal wear and tear things listed above, but cheaper than another car payment.
I have a 2004 4.6l XLT 4X4 Supercrew with 117,000 miles, yes that many miles in two years. Just changed plugs and transmission filter. Have had absolutely no problems, just put in gas and go. Gets 18 to 21 mpg.
On my third F150 now, both of its older siblings were in the 100k club.
My '92 with the 5.0L was at 141k, my '98 4.2L had 123k, just sold it for the '06. Worst problems were a vacuum leak and I had to replace a Mass air sensor. Besides that, oil, tires, brake pads and gas.
I turned it over this morning. Drive a 98 F-150 ext cab short box. I did love the truck until the tranny went out at 86K. I'm having doubts about my next truck now.
About 102,000 on my 98 f50 4x4. Had it since 99 and put 80,000 of those miles on it...only had to change a battery so far nothing else, besides all the fluids and oil changes every 3,000 miles... also have a set of bfg all terrians ko's with 75000 miles on them, and still counting
I guess I'm a three time 100,000 club person. Have a 1990 F150 4.9 with 303,000. Doesn't use oil. Some valve guide leakage. Have never been in the engine internally. Has been a great pickup up to now. Starting to have to replace some sensors etc. now.
I know what you mean. I have 162,600 on my 2000 Lariat. I average 79 miles a day, every day for the life of my truck. There are some days I don't even move the truck. Way too much driving.
