100,000 mile club

I have a 2000 Lariat 5.4L 4X4. I have 156,890 miles on this truck. Last night I replaced my front disc pads for the second time. The first time was at 49,000 miles. I installed ceramic pads at 49K and again last night. It's kind of funny because I turned the rotors at 49K, and had to replace them at 137,000, but the pads were still fine. The rotors were fine last night as well. Calipers seem to be doing fine. No real unusual wear on the pads. These trucks just keep rolling as long as you take care of them.

I might as well add my .2˘ here. I just turned 142,000 on my '98 Nastruck, still going strong.

Except for oil changes, I did not do anything until reaching 70,000 miles, when I had to replace the factory front brake calipers (along with new pads, resurface). At 75,000, I replaced the original tires (Goodyear Wranglers). When it rolled over 100,000, I changed the spark plugs. At 120,000, I purchased new Brembo drilled rotors with upgraded pads. At 135,000, new Moog tie rods and ball joints.

I'm planning on driving this truck until the wheels fall off.

I have just over 142,000 miles on my 2000 XLT 5.4L 4x4 off road F150. IAC went oout a little while ago but other than that it runs and drives really well. I have only owned it since 130,000 miles. Dotn know what happened to it before then. Had the tranny serviced this last weekend and mechanic said that it looked pretty good. Some people here seem to have some harsh words for this motor, but mine will light up the cooper A/Ts with only small mods.(40 series flows, drop in K&N). My mechanic is a chevy guy but always has good things to say about my ford when I bring it in.

97 F150 Lariat 104k miles

I purchased from my brother-in-law with 93k on it. Believe it or not, he was using it as a trash truck. he would fill the back of it up with garbage bags and when it was finally full he would drive the loaded out extended cab Lariat that was full of trash to the dumpsters and unload it. He would then drive it home and start the process all over again. One day I told him he was ruining the truck and he should sell it to me. I bought it from him and had to compound it for 3 days to get the thing to shine. I saved it from a life of misery and I couldn't be happier.

117,000 on '01 Lariat

Outside of normail maintenance, just one IAC, and the cruise control pressure switch(which went out one week before recall, just my luck). Been very happy with this truck, and would buy another without hesitation.

I've got 119,000 miles on my 1990 F150. It's the XLT Lariat trim with the 302, 5.0L V8. It has never had any work on the powertrain except regular maintenance and this truck still has bite in it. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

Add me to the list. 160,000 and counting, '97 5.4 lariat with only minor repairs to the chassis (new pads, rotors tie rod ends), regular mainenence to the engine (plugs at 100,000 miles, new belt at 120,000 miles, filters-air/fuel/oil), no work on the tranny, only maintenence (oil and filter change at 100,000 miles), only other repairs were minor: (blew up a catalytic converter, light bulbs in dash, ripped seat where lariat is sewn, etc.). I work hard with this truck but I take care of it. It has never let me down except bogging down occasionally, and not pulling a load of peanuts out of the field. (I really wish I had 4X4). The truck has been great!
