2000 F150 - 195,000+, stock 5.4L

Runs alright but transmission just started slipping about 2000 miles ago.
Not sure what I'm going to do about that....?

My 2000 Lariat has 226,000 miles on it. At 190,000 miles I replaced my engine with a brand new one, and replaced my transmission with a rebuilt one. The $8000 I spent on the new motor and rebuilt transmission is a whole lot cheaper than $40,000 for a new King Ranch. My truck in very good shape for its age and mileage. I see no reason to go buy a new one just yet.

Wow this thread must have at least 100,000 miles in computer time!
My 97 F-150 4X4 4.6 Supercab has 114,000 miles and not only runs strong but looks great for 11 1/2 years on the road. I just took it into a Ford dealer's body shop to get a small amount of rust repaired under the doors. The manager said that he's seen 03 and 04's with more rust in that area than mine. The way I look at it I might as well keep it for another 5 years. I'm lucky if I put 12,000 miles a year on it.

2nd Time In

This is my second F150 and the second time in the 100K+ club. I drove my 97 4.6 to 230K or 260K, I can't remember which one. I then sold it to a customer who is still driving it today.

I bought an 04 at the end of 04 and have put 126K on it so far and still going strong. Not using any oil, no trans problems, just keeps going.

I will, however, be putting a new window regulator in over the weekend. Only complaint I really have with the 04 is the steering wheel shake.

I have a 2001 F150 Supercrew with 120000 on it. It's been a very good vehicle for us. We special ordered it new and have had it almost 8 years now.

My 2000 5.4L, super cab, short box turned 100,000 last week. I bought it in 05 with 50,000 miles on it. Oil changes every 3,000 miles. I put the first set of tires at 100,180 miles, and it looks, starts, runs, and pulls like a new truck. Just wish it got better than 13 mpg.

Turned over 100K on Thanksgiving. Definately happy with her and keeping it. I was looking for my first new truck for almost 2 years before I bought it in Oct 97 with only 718 miles. Was love at first sight and still love how it looks, runs, drives and sounds today.

I just checked my mileage last fillup & got 13 with my 4.6
I drive 10 miles each way to work so not too bad for combined driving. It has a best of 17 highway.

1998 F150 Just turned 170,000 miles last night.

Just turned 170,000 miles last night coming back from SA, this truck runs excellent with only minimal maintanence. Plus I run usually 400-600 miles per week currently.
