1997 and i have 213xxx on my odometer...and the odometer doesnt work anymore! truck runs great...although it has a crate motor...i was replace aproximatly 30k miles ago...but before that, no major problems that would hint that these trucks are horrible...i consider mine a great truck.

98 F-150 XLT 4x4 reg cab short box... 160k miles; runs like a champ!!

My old 89 F-150 Lariet I still see driving around town; got rid of it with 225k on it. Rusted as hell, leaking tons of oil, in-op side tank and leaking rear tank... but when it went, it was still running as strong as ever.

Smile

My 97 4x4 has 117,000 miles now.....84,000 3 yrs. ago when I got it. Still in pretty good running shape (have to replace stater now though). Last yr. had a lot of from end work....all ball joints, control arms, sway bar end links, and pitman arm. Some rattles here and there but does the job and still puts a smile on my face.....can't beat a 4x4 Ford in the winter!

My 99 Expy has 180,000 on it and it had a rough life. I bought it from an idiot that rigged anything he could until he couldn't figure out how to get to the heater core and got mad and it sat for a year taken 2/3 of the way apart (parts in 3 boxes in back). I finally got it for $1000.00 LOL Took me only 5 evenings to pull it and put it back together. Runs great!! I was a Chevy chick but I'm wearing down... that 5.4 is sweet!

160,500 miles and going strong

2000 Ford F-150 5.4 Triton. I am at 160,500 miles today, and it is my everyday truck. Oil changes at 3000-4000 miles, and a couple easy repairs myself. I love my Ford truck. I once drove Toyota trucks because of their dependability...and then a couple of 77 Ford Trucks. Now I am convinced more than ever to drive American made Ford trucks!

I have 111300 on my '03. Regular maintenance and changed the COPS and plugs. The right axle seal went out at about 60k.

'05 FX4 just tripped 106000. In shop now getting plugs and COP boots. My 97 had 142000 on it when it blew the #5 plug out of the head. My '84 had 472000 on the original 300 I6 when I sold it, ran great!
