Rap, please read the thread title.

Also, work on your reading comprehension - it's YOUR yammering about how cool your OBS is that's wasting this thread.

i think everyone needs to take a chillaxitive or will work and sit in the corner for 15 minutes. jeez yes the thread was for the new body style and if certain parts would work. then OBS talk came up, then pics of old vs new, which was a bad comparison so someone put a better example, which sported the look of the way my exhaust is gonna turn out....really? a thread is for question and answers, general discussion, idea generating, and appreciation of having people who love their truck as much as you love yours. yammering would be all of a sudden talking about how your mother in law gave your dog a chewbone the other day and that your dog left half of it on the floor.....see? yammering and off the subject....its a truck discussion that started out with a general question, and it was talked about....obviously we all care enough about this thread that we still read and reply to it.
THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE DOING, THIS IS WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO

Not exactly, Timmy - there is a General Discussion forum, a forum dedicated to OBS, a forum dedicated to NBS, etc. It's forum etiquette to try to keep each thread somewhat on topic, anyone is free to start a new thread anywhere anytime that they want. All this off topic stuff has probably sent the original poster elsewhere by now.

The "general question" you are alluding to is how much interest there would be in headers, CAI's and turbos for the NBS V-6. How would you have liked it if the thread you started with the question about your transmission had been derailed into people saying that manual transmissions are crap and automatics are the only way to go and vice versa, and people showing off their custom shift knobs? That's pretty much what is happening here.

yeah i get your point but after awhile, most people dont go to page 1 to find out what the thread is all about, you go to page 4 or whatever and see the different discussion and just reply to it without thinking if it is off subject or not. but yeah i get what you are saying now.

Just one more comment on this before we get back on track.

Timmy, not trying to be mean, but those tips are made mainly for the import/tuner scene. If you want some decent looking dual tips for a truck, look into the Magnaflow ones I got.

yes u guys are right all this talk bout obs made me stay away for a lil bit. i brought up points to see whow as intreasted when parts are done ill post back up and see if u like them. seems like there is a lil to much drama bout people with old trucks that sank way to much cash in them to get rid of them for a new style truck to me

no hate for nbs i was legitimately interested in seeing if this would work and it shows you that there would be a market for one on the obs 4.2 also.

obs cant really be called old trucks that arent worth it either but were not gonna go there.

If y'all can get a kit together, and market it, I will seriously be interested. I wasn't trying to antagonize any more OBS vs. NBS talk. The engine are the exact same, minus the electronic TB (good luck with that BTW).

Keep us updated on the progress!

by the way, is there any ratings for this turbo setup you speak of? like PSI, or estimated HP increase or anything like that? just curious. also, anybody know of any turbos that would fit that are off of other cars? ive heard something about the turbo off of the 80's thunderbirds having to be minorly rigged to work. anybody know anybody who tried a turbo off another vehicle? there are a lot out there even if you are looking for a small boost.
