I bought an X-cal & tunes from VMP for my F-150 two weeks ago. Better throttle response and acceleration now.

I would agree with this.
Not that I have anything but personal experience, but my Dad has an 02 F150 Scab that has a 4.2. I have an 07 Reg Cab 4.2, and (Weight Wise) it feels similar. I'm sure his is a little heavier, but not by much. I've driven a reg cab 02 and it seems way lighter than my 07.

On a side note I didn't know that there were Aftermarket chips for my truck until I read this post and this makes me very happy. I have to gun it just to make up certain hills, so now I think I know what I'm saving for next!

Jet Perfromance module is junk, not recommended.

Dang....I bought I hypertech max tuner for another vehicle of mine a while back. It did ok, but are they any good for the 4.2's? A buddy of mine has one that will work for my truck and is thinking about selling it. Since Jet is out what about Hypertech?

Nope. The Xcal 3 is basically the newer version of the Xcal 2. It has a wider range of "canned" tunes for Ford vehicles, and I think it allows more user interface as far as changing certain aspects of the tunes and ECU.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
