4.2 V-6 bogging/power loss?

Hey, got in the truck this morning and felt bad vibration/bogging. I had to really give it gas to get the truck to move. It is a 2002 4.2 V-6 with 87k on it. What should I take a look at? I went and got a new fuel filter and injector cleaner. If that doesnt work, I'll get new plugs. It was really unusual because I drove it all day yesterday and it was fine, then this morning it was like that. All of the plug wires are connected, good air filter, all fluids good, oil is good, no warning lights...
any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Plugs, wires, and possibly a coil pack. Mine needed all 3 at 84k. OEM Motorcraft strongly recommended.

97 F150 4.2 light engine miss, no trouble code or CEL..

I was wondering if you guys fixed your problem. I have a slight miss on my 4.2. Seems like it is intermittent. There are days is runs without a problem. However, if the truck sits for a weekend, I go to start it, it has a definite hard miss for about a half a mile and then you can feel the cylinder "kick" in, then sometimes it is OK. However, it does seem like it will happen only at very light acceleration. If I pound on the gas pedal, it does not tend to miss. I did the standards, plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter. Funny thing is NO CHECK engine light or trouble code at all. Even passed a full NJ inspection no problems. The issue is more irritating than troublesome to me. I have poured a few "quarts" of injector cleaner hoping that it would cure the problem. There have been days that I have driven that it would not occur. I have check the posts about DPFE sensor (hope I spelled it right), knock sensor, coolant sensor, etc. As my Home Depot runner (and not my daily transportation), I have 122K and otherwise the truck is perfect. Should I just live with this (again, only irratating), or nickel and dime the sensors to death.... OR, can I assume that one of the injectors is going bad? Also, I noticed small oil wetness coming somewhere around the knock sensor itself: I unplugged it for a day: no difference (not better, not worst) and no CEL or trouble code. Again I am just ready to live with it unless someone else experienced this and had a CONCRETE fix. Let me know if anyone has any luck out there with a similar issue.

Did you use dielectric grease in the boots at both the coil and plug ends? Did you use Motorcraft parts?

have you figured out your issue with your problem, I have the same exact issues with my 01 expy have original plugs though was going to change them to see if that was the problem, but throwing no codes, some days it is fine then it will act up have a little shudder like a misfire, stomp on the gas and it straightens out, everything like you, trying to figure out what the problem is.

Wrong forum - this is the V-6 forum, I doubt your Expy has a V-6.
