Bad misfire

My 02 f150 v6 went through a couple of water puddles this morning and started to run rough and the service engine light started blinking, I looked on the forum and saw that usually means a bad misfire. Do you think the misfire could have been caused by the water and will it stop when it dries out?

How many miles are on the spark plugs and spark plug wires? You may have a cracked coil pack, that's happened to me twice now.

If I take it to auto zone will they be able to tell me which coil is cracked with their code reader?

There is only one coil pack for all 6 cylinders, doesn't matter which cylinder is missing.
I would change the plugs and wires, remove and clean the coil pack and inspect it carefully. Use only MOTORCRAFT plugs and wires along with dielectric grease. Rockauto.com has MOTORCRAFT plugs and wires at about 1/2 the price of parts stores.

Plugs: SP504, $3.15 each
Wires: WR6110, $37.79 a set
Coil pack if you need it: United C498, $29.79 (Motorcraft coil not needed and it's over 65 bucks)

Do NOT use Autozone generic wires!

Thanks, popped the hood earlier when it quit raining and saw there was only one and I have a wire that was touching the valve cover and burnt the insulation off. Thanks for also for the Rockauto tip because I would have ended up getting generic auto zone wires.
