new 2012 f-150 ecoboost in Nova Scotia

So do you think a new F150 should within 14000K have a rusty bumper.
Fuel mileage is still way off the 31MPG rating. I am getting about 22-23MPG highway and to top it all off my front tires are feathering off alot. Ford dealer took it for their own road test and came up with 12.2L/100KM(22MPG) and they say be happy its in spec. Now I know the rated mileage is typically a dream number but I would have hoped to be at least at 25MPG. My old 2006 GMC was giving me 22.

What speed are you driving and are you using the cruise control? I have found this makes the biggest difference in the mileage numbers. With the cruise set at 68MPH on mostly flat ground I will knock out ~25MPG (US gallon not Imperial gallon). If I run 80MPH I can expect 16-17 on the exact same road.

22 MPG Imperial converts to 18.3 US MPG - that's in spec.

FYI, there's a thread in the 2009-2013 section about rust. Might be worth your time to check it out.
